- Sensational unfortunately dropped a valve during practice on the Friday and were out for the weekend
- the NOT BAD team also had a disappointing weekend with oil pressure problems and a broken push rod and were also out for the weekend, but driver Mat Stone had a great drive in 'Headache' in the 6ltr restricted class
- Dean Barry in Shes the Culprit had a blistering weekend with a very close win in the Eroljay final, winning the whole race until the final turn boy, unlucky Dean but great effort!
- Hi-flya and Stairway to Heaven dominated the 6ltr carby class with Michael winning on the Saturday and Hi-Flya taking a close win on the Sunday in the Alan Smythe Memorial with Michael coming a close 2nd and Greg in Freedom a very good 3rd
- Greg Hamilton in Freedom had an outstanding weekend with his first race meet in the 6ltr carby class. Had a great battle with Stairway to Heaven in the last 6ltr race of the weekend, leading most of the race with Michael catching him over the line. Great stuff Greg!!
- Michael Platts in Stairway to Heaven had an awsome weekend being one of the consistant front runners over the 2 days. Had a great battle with Hi-Flya and Freedom throughout the weekend and unfortunently dropping a cylinder on the Sunday but still coming in a very close 2nd. Great stuff Michael!!
- Dave Gray in Noise Works had a great weekend on his first real race meet! had great support on his side and really stepped up to the plate in the 6ltr restricted races, still getting a feel for the boat and race conditions, moved up a place in every race! Keep up the great work Dave!!
- Congratulations to the Liberty team who took the King of the River crown for the 3rd year with a great race against Byron Bay Marine.
- Truly Wicked had a fantastic weekend giving Liberty and Shes the Culprit a great run, even up staging them on several occasions. Congratulations on the great weekends racing Newto!
